Cookies & storage
1. Scope
This notice explains browser storage used by the Helmwize website. A Data Protection Officer contact is not yet published. Privacy requests will be handled once a DPO and entity are confirmed. It accompanies the Privacy Notice.
Cookies are small records that may be sent between a browser and a site. Local storage is separate browser storage that page code can read. A page may also use remote scripts, pixels or embedded players that involve third-party requests even where no cookie is set.
2. Current storage inventory
A September 2026 browser inspection of the deployed preview set no application cookies. The application inventory is:
| Item | What it stores | Purpose | Lifetime | Recipient |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| `hw-motion` | on or off | Display preference only | No expiry | Current page code reads it locally; not sent by the application |
| `hw-motion-persist` | off, when set | Records that you asked the site not to remember motion | Remains until you choose to remember again or clear site data | Current page code only |
The current page code has no analytics, advertising, cross-site identifiers or session-replay storage. It has no embedded YouTube or other remote video player. Media and display type are served with the website.
Server or hosting-provider cookies and logs are separate from this application inventory. An approved hosting-storage disclosure is not yet recorded. Do not read this inventory as a claim that an unreviewed host sets no cookies.
3. Your controls
You can change motion using the site's motion control. "Do not remember this choice" removes `hw-motion` and stops further local-storage writes until you enable remembering again. Blocking storage does not prevent access to the main content, although the page may no longer remember your choice. Your device's reduced-motion setting is used as the initial preference unless you have selected a different setting.
Browser autofill and extensions can store information independently of this website. Consult your browser settings to control those features.
4. Future optional technologies
Before introducing optional analytics, advertising, embedded media or session replay, we will update the inventory and explain the provider, purpose, data involved and duration. Where consent is required, optional technology will remain blocked until you choose it, and refusal or withdrawal will remain available. We will not interpret scrolling, closing a notice or merely continuing to browse as consent to such optional tracking.
A consent interface is not evidence that consent was actually respected. The current preview does not display fictitious categories for services it does not use.
An effective date and last-updated date have not been set. Version: 1.0. These pages are draft notices for the current preview and are not a counsel-approved publication.
